Armenian prime minister dismisses three officials

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed Thursday decrees dismissing three officials. Grisha Tamrazyan was dismissed as deputy education, science, culture and sports minister, science, culture and sports. Smbat Gogyan was relieved of the post of chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC). By the third decree, Georgy Avetisyan was dismissed as head of the Food Safety Inspection Agency.

YEREVAN, September 25. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed Thursday decrees dismissing three officials. Grisha Tamrazyan was dismissed as deputy education, science, culture and sports minister, science, culture and sports. Smbat Gogyan was relieved of the post of chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC). By the third decree, Georgy Avetisyan was dismissed as head of the Food Safety Inspection Agency.

Grisha Tamrazyan was appointed deputy minister of education, science, culture and sports of Armenia on February 19, 2019. Georgy Avetisyan served as chairman of the Food Safety Inspection Agency since June 22, 2018.

HAC Chairman Smbat Gogyan submitted his resignation on May 13, 2020. As the main reason for his decision, he named the discrepancy between the reform of education and science in his understanding with the strategy of the ministry of education, science, culture and sports. Goghyan was appointed to this post on June 12, 2018. -0-
