Armenian Prime-Minister Tigran Sargsyan does not exclude the possibility that a new document may be signed between “Prosperous Armenia” (PA), “Orinats Yerkir” (OY) and ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) to support the current President Serzh Sargsyan at the upcoming presidential elections in February 2013.

YEREVAN, October 25. /ARKA/.
“The political processes are developing so rapidly that at the moment I cannot exclude anything. The fact is that currently we have a coalition statement signed by RPA, PA and OY saying that they will support the candidacy of the current president”, Sargsyan said at the parliament briefing Wednesday.
Three Armenian coalition parties, RPA, “Prosperous Armenia” and “Orinats Yerkir”, signed a statement of political coalition on February 17, 2011, saying that they would support the joint candidacy of the current president Serzh Sargsyan at the presidential elections of 2013.
“Prosperous Armenia” party had been in the coalition since 2007, but on May 24, 2012, after the parliament elections, the head of the party Gagik Tsarukyan made a statement saying that the party had no constitutional opportunity to form a cabinet and implement its programs; hence it saw no reason to form a coalition government.
“Everything will be clear” when the elections approach and candidacies are determined, the Prime-Minister said.
The coalition memorandum between the Republican Party of Armenia and “Orinats Yerkir” was signed by RPA’s leader, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and the head of “Orinats Yerkir”, Secretary of National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan on May 30, 2012. –0--
