An Armenian Cabinet session today has approved the appointment of Arthur Khachatryan as new governor of the northwestern marz (province) of Shirak.

YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/. An Armenian Cabinet session today has approved the appointment of Arthur Khachatryan as new governor of the northwestern marz (province) of Shirak.

Khachatryan has replaced former governor Hovsep Simonyan who resigned at his own request. Prime minister Karen Karapetyan congratulated the newly appointed governor and wished him effective work. -0--
