Armenia’s defense ministry reported today that an Armenian soldier serving at a military outpost along the Nagorno-Karabakh - Azerbaijan frontline died from a gunshot while on patrol duty.

YEREVAN, June 20. / ARKA /. Armenia’s defense ministry reported today that an Armenian soldier serving at a military outpost along the Nagorno-Karabakh - Azerbaijan frontline died from a gunshot while on patrol duty.

The official report identified the servicemen as Private Grisha Khachatryan, 20, conscripted from Sisian, a town in southern region of Synik.

The ministry said it has launched an investigation into the incident.

"The Armenian defense ministry shares the heavy loss and expresses its support for the family members of the killed soldier," the ministry said in a statement. -0-
