YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Units of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army are suppressing the enemy's attacks in the southern section of the line of contact, the press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan wrote on her Facebook page.
"At the same time, the Azerbaijani armed forces are shelling the town of Hadrut in the south of Nagorno-Karabakh (Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev claimed on October 9 that the town was controlled by Azerbaijani troops) .The statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that the Armenian side is firing in the direction of Tartar and Aghdam is yet another falsification," Stepanyan wrote.
The ceasefire agreement, reached after many hours of talks in Moscow on October 9 between Armenia and Azerbaijan, was set to take effect at 12 p.m. local time on October 10. It will allow the sides for the exchange of prisoners and the bodies of people who have been killed in clashes over the last two weeks in and around Nagorno-Karabakh, with the participation of the ICRC.
A representative of the Armenian ministry of defense Artsun Hovhannisyan has provided an updated information about Azerbaijani air strike on the town of Kapan in Syunik region of Armenia, saying the attack was made on the nearby villages, not on the town. -0-
