YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. Armenian Defense Ministry said Azerbaijani armed forces fired at the Armenian armed forces' combat positions on the border.

"Late at night on December 8, the units of Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire using small arms of different caliber at the combat positions of Armenian armed forces in the eastern section of Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Thanks to the reciprocal actions the enemy’s firing was stopped," a press release of the Armenian defense ministry says.

It says that there were no casualties on the Armenian side. The Armenian Defense Ministry called on the Azerbaijani defense ministry to refrain from provocative actions aimed at aggravating the situation on the border. ---0--
