YEREVAN, November 19. /ARKA/. On November 18 late evening the Azerbaijani side handed over the bodies of three Armenian servicemen who were killed in armed clashes between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops on November 16 in Syunik province, to the Nagorno-Karabakh State Emergency Service.

The handover that took place in the town of Shushi was mediated by the Russian peacekeepers, deployed in the Nagorno-Karabakh after last year’s 44-day war.

"According to preliminary data, the bodies were evacuated from the administrative district of the Ishkhanasar village of Syunik region. The State Emergency Situations Service of the Nagorno-Karabakh delivered the bodies to Yerevan today. The Armenian Defense Ministry will publish information about them," the agency said.

On November 16 Azerbaijani forces attempted to break through the Armenia’s state border before being repelled by Armenian troops. The Armenian Defense Ministry said November 17 morning that the enemy has up to 70 killed and wounded servicemen, as well as significant losses of military hardware, including 4 armored personnel carriers, 1 armored vehicle Sandcat, and 5 Russian-made trucks.

According to it, twelve Armenian servicemen were captured, while communication with 24 more servicemen was lost during the clashes and their fate is currently unknown. -0-
