Azerbaijan is an unreliable negotiating partner, says chairman of Armenian parliament committee

YEREVAN, February 28. /ARKA/ The chairman of Armenian National Assembly's Foreign Relations Committee Sarkis Khandanyan described today Azerbaijan as 'an unreliable' partner for negotiations.
Speaking at a press briefing, he said it is not a secret that Azerbaijan is an unreliable partner.
According to him, the whole point of the Armenian-Azerbaijani talks is to reduce tensions and form a certain framework of negotiating cooperation that could bring stability to the region.
Khandanyan said also that the lack of progress in the negotiation process constantly raises fears, for example, of rising tensions between the two countries.
In the meantime Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov met today for two-day peace negotiations at the guest house of German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbrock on the outskirts of Berlin, the German Foreign Ministry said. Baerbock was expected first to meet foreign ministers from both countries for bilateral talks.
The meeting follows talks between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, earlier this month on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, as well as a trip by Baerbock to Armenia and Azerbaijan in early November 2023. -0-
