YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. Azerbaijan is becoming a springboard for the infiltration of terrorists and their ideology into the CIS space, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan said on Friday at an online meeting of the heads of government of the CIS member states.
"I must declare that Azerbaijan's aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh with the direct military-political support from Turkey and with the involvement of terrorist fighters from Syria and Libya continues," Grigoryan said.
Grigoryan stressed that all the settlements of the Nagorno-Karabakh, including the capital Stepanakert and the second largest town of Shushi, are subject to missile and bomb attacks by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces; civil infrastructure, healthcare institutions, schools, kindergartens, cultural, historical and religious monuments.
"The fighters from the Azerbaijani side are using methods inherent in radical terrorist groups, such as torture, demonstrative executions and beheading of prisoners, mockery of the bodies of the dead," Grigoryan said.
He also noted that despite the calls of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, heads of many states and representatives of many international organizations, Azerbaijan has repeatedly violated and continues to violate the ceasefire agreements reached.
"It is high time for Azerbaijan to understand that there is no military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem and that the CIS platform is not a place for proliferation and falsification," Grigoryan stressed.
He reminded his CIS colleagues that the only format for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, endowed with the mandate of the international community is the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group consisting of the Russian Federation, France and the United States. -0-
