YERVAN, September 8, /ARKA/. Two Armenian soldiers - Aramayis Torozyan and Artur Nalbandyan - who went missing near the Sev Lich Lake in Syunik province in July, were flown to Yerevan from Baku by a Russian military plane.
According to local news reports, they were exchanged for an Azerbaijani serviceman Jail Babayev, who was arrested in Nagorno-Karabakh late last month. The exchange was brokered by Major-General Rustam Muradov, the outgoing commander of Russian peacekeeping contingent stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Armenian Defense Ministry said earlier that Nalbandyan and Torozyan had strayed into an Azerbaijani-controlled area on July 14 due to thick fog. -0-
