YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/. Azerbaijani armed forces shelled Armenian positions in the southern province of Syunik, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

It said the shelling occurred on June 7 at 10:35 p.m. Azerbaijani troops opened fire in the direction of Armenian positions stationed in the Khoznavar area. No losses on the Armenian side were reported.

As of 10 a.m. June 8, the situation at the front line was relatively stable," the Armenian Defense Ministry said. --0-
