Banana import – Armenian State Revenue Committee demonstrates its action

Armenia’s State Revenue Committee has helped an importer, who faced obstacles when bringing bananas to Armenia from Russia, the press office of the committee reported on Monday.

YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Revenue Committee has helped an importer, who faced obstacles when bringing bananas to Armenia from Russia, the press office of the committee reported on Monday.
According to the press release, unidentified men were trying to bar this person from importing bananas, but the committee put things right and bananas were successfully brought to the country.
The committee declared that nobody has a right to create obstacles for business activities and urged everybody to inform it about problems.
Local media resources have repeatedly reported that Mihran Poghosyan, former Armenian chief bailiff, enjoys a monopoly in importing bananas.
Earlier, Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister, said that every citizen may import commodities into Armenia. --0----
