YEREVAN, November 4. /ARKA/. Central Asian countries are on the initial list of beneficiaries of the Crossroads of Peace and Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) projects, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"Armenia and Kazakhstan are part of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which serves as a platform for the unrestricted movement of goods, services, labor, and capital. However, when we examine our mutual trade turnover, it does not align with the fundamental principles of the EAEU, as the trade volume remains significantly low due to the absence of efficient and cost-effective communication routes," Pashinyan remarked during a Q&A session at the Orbeli Forum titled 'Establishing Peace and Multilateral Cooperation' on Tuesday.

He added that Kazakhstan has recently dispatched its inaugural shipment of wheat to Armenia via rail through Azerbaijan, following the announcement by the Azerbaijani president that all transit restrictions for cargo destined for Armenia would be removed through its territory.

"I greatly value the statement made by the Azerbaijani president, which I have highlighted at international forums. The primary beneficiary of this declaration was, of course, Armenia, but it primarily benefits the Central Asian nations as well," Pashinyan noted.

The Armenian prime minister also expressed Armenia's interest in enhancing its political and economic ties with Uzbekistan.

"This presents a promising vision, albeit one that encounters several logistical hurdles. The execution of these projects will undoubtedly aid in addressing these challenges and pave the way for strengthening Armenia's relationships with Central Asian countries," he stressed.-0-
