YEREVAN, July 8. /ARKA/. Chairman of the Board of Directors of CJSC "Electric Networks of Armenia" Narek Karapetyan admitted that he could be detained.
"Most likely, they will detain me, but I don't know yet why," Narek Karapetyan (nephew of the president of "Tashir Group" Samvel Karapetyan) told journalists in the courtyard of his house, where security forces conducted searches.
Assessing the actions of law enforcement officers, Karapetyan noted that "they are looking for something new and found it."
"All their steps are understandable, acceptable, let them take these steps, let's see whether they succeed or not," he said.
When asked in what criminal case the searches were conducted, Karapetyan noted that it may be related to participation in meetings. "They took two hats, one flash drive with photos and money for four iPhones from the house," Karapetyan added.
He believes that a decision will be made to issue an arrest warrant. "This is a new topic. They worked hard to find this new topic, and they succeeded," he said.
