Chairman of Armenia’s Court of Cassation tenders resignation letter

The Chairman of Armenia’s Court of Cassation Arman Mkrtumyan has filed a resignation letter to the Supreme Judicial Council, saying in a statement that he has served the Republic of Armenia for about thirty years, and it is time to enable young professionals to also ‘demonstrate their knowledge.’

YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. The Chairman of Armenia’s Court of Cassation Arman Mkrtumyan has filed a resignation letter to the Supreme Judicial Council, saying in a statement that he has served the Republic of Armenia for about thirty years, and it is time to enable young professionals to also ‘demonstrate their knowledge.’
Noting that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Court of Cassation, he congratulated all his colleagues and said that it was time to provide an opportunity to experienced young professionals to show their knowledge, strength and energy in the difficult and responsible job.
Arman Mkrtumyan headed the Court of Cassation of Armenia from September 2008. -0-
