Cooperation between Armenia and Georgia to deepen in future

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of the First Republic Day.

YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of the First Republic Day.
“Allow me to cordially congratulate you personally and the Armenian people on the First Republic Day and wish you success in your responsible work,” he said.
Gakharia praised the close ties between Armenia and Georgia, as well as traditional, fraternal and friendly relations.
"I would also like to affirm our unwavering willingness to support all the efforts that will further strengthen the existing friendly ties for the benefit of our countries and nations," he said.
The Prime Minister of Georgia also reaffirmed his deep respect and expressed hope that cooperation between the two states, based on mutual trust and respect, will further deepen in the future thanks to joint efforts. He wished the Prime Minister of Armenia health and prosperity.
In May 1918, the Armenian people won the battles near Sardarapat and Bash Aparan over the invading Turkish troops. On May 28, 1918, the Armenian National Council proclaimed the independence of Armenia, and on May 29, Hovhannes Kajaznuni was appointed as first prime minister of independent Armenia, which existed until December 2, 1920. -0-
