Criminal case opened against Armenia’s spiTak Mayor

The prosecutor’s office of Armenian Lori region opened Thursday a criminal case against Spitak town mayor, Gagik Sahakyan, on the basis of a complaint submitted by one of the town residents, Sona Truzyan, spokeswoman for prosecutor’s general office told Novosti-Armenia.

YEREVAN, July 11./ARKA/. The prosecutor’s office of Armenian Lori region opened Thursday a criminal case against Spitak town mayor, Gagik Sahakyan, on the basis of a complaint submitted by one of the town residents, Sona Truzyan, spokeswoman for prosecutor’s general office told Novosti-Armenia.
“The resident of Spitak claimed the mayor had beaten him. A criminal case was opened to investigate into the case,” she said.

Earlier some Armenian media sources reported the resident’s name was Levik Maryan, 71. He claimed the mayor had beaten him during an argument.—0-
