YEREVAN, November 14. /ARКА/. The Armenian government's Crossroads of Peace initiative has transitioned into its practical phase, with the North-South project now becoming a tangible reality, as announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"This year, we will inaugurate the Gyumri-Yerevan segment of the North-South project, which is nearly complete. There are improvements that need to be made. The Agarak-Kajaran segment of the highway is being constructed swiftly, and there are ongoing discussions regarding the development of the Sisian-Kajaran segment of the highway. The Bargushat tunnel project, which is nearing its final stage, is also of significant importance," he remarked during the Crossroads of Peace: Developing Regional Communications forum on Friday.
The Prime Minister further emphasized that Armenia is prepared to support truck traffic along the Margara-Kornidzor route to Azerbaijan and back.
"Why are we making this proposal today? Because this infrastructure is in place. Naturally, our political willingness is clear for all other segments, but further investments are still required," he concluded.-0-
