CSTO consultations on disarmament cooperation held in Moscow

Consultations about cooperation on disarmament, non-dissemination and control over weapons within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) were held in Moscow on Monday, headed by CSTO deputy secretary general Ara Badalyan.
YEREVAN, March 3. /ARKA/. Consultations about cooperation on disarmament, non-dissemination and control over weapons within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) were held in Moscow on Monday, headed by CSTO deputy secretary general Ara Badalyan.
The meetings were attended by representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
The sides exchanged views on key issues of the agenda, particularly the forthcoming conference on coordination of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons at the international forums, including the IAEA.
Interaction between CSTO member states at other forums has also been discussed, said CSTO press-secretary Vladimir Zaynetdinov.
The press secretary said the representatives stressed the importance of active participation in international disarmament efforts and close cooperation of CSTO member states at international forums.
The participants supported the need for further consultations and coordination of approaches on control over weapons. –0--
