Dashnaktsutyun representative does not rule out the possibility of street struggle in Armenia before 2026 elections

YEREVAN, June 16. /ARKA/. Before the 2026 parliamentary elections, Armenia must be prepared for any turn of events, including street struggle, said Ishkhan Saghatelyan, representative of the Supreme Body of the ARF, member of the opposition parliamentary faction "Armenia".
"We must be prepared for any scenario, numerous events will occur before the elections. Isn't there a possibility that a capitulation agreement will be signed, which is presented as a peace treaty (with Azerbaijan - ed.)?" Saghatelyan said at a press conference on Monday.
In this context, Saghatelyan did not rule out the start of street struggle to change power, adding that first of all, it is precisely for this that it is necessary to prepare.
Earlier, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan stated that the next parliamentary elections in the country will be held in June 2026.
