Deputy parliamentary speaker: Armenia hopes Austria can open embassy in Yerevan

YEREVAN, July 12. /ARKA/. Armenia’s deputy parliamentary speaker Hakob Arshakyan met with Austria’s ambassador to Georgia and Armenia, resided in Tbilisi, in Yerevan, Armenia’s National Assembly reported on Friday.

Arshakyan appreciated “Austria’s support to Armenia since the establishment of diplomatic relations” and noted the Ambassador’s personal commitment and willingness in this matter.

Arshakyan also mentioned the start of the dialogue on visa liberalization, expressing his conviction that Austria will agree to that process. It would also be an important step if Austria could open an embassy in Yerevan, he said. 

The Ambassador promised to forward the request to his country’s authorities.
