Discussions on Trump Route project have already begun – Pashinyan

YEREVAN, September 29. /ARКА/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a press briefing at the PACE that discussions between Armenia and the United States concerning the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project have already started.
"A delegation from the United States recently visited Armenia, and discussions have begun and will proceed. At this moment, there are no concrete agreements. I believe the Trump administration has a very expansive agenda, but I assure you that the TRIPP route is included in it, as it is in our agenda and that of the international community," he stated.
Pashinyan emphasized that the public perception is that following the signing of the Washington documents on August 8, the next day, "we are already beginning to search for a working excavator."
"That is not how the process operates. It should be conducted gradually, yet continuously. Currently, we are addressing design and financing matters," the Armenian prime minister remarked.
Regarding the potential involvement of the EU, Pashinyan mentioned that the TRIPP project is being discussed within the framework of Armenian-American bilateral relations, and the inclusion of a third party is feasible with the agreement of both sides.
"Certainly, we are interested in the participation of the EU and other partners; the EU is a reliable partner for us, but it is important to clarify that the discussions are taking place between Armenia and the United States," he concluded.-0-
