Electoral commission verifying information about irregularities

The Central Electoral Commission will be verifying information about irregularities, Nune Hovhannisyan, a member of the commission, told Novosti-Armenia commenting on the Armenian National Congress' Facebook reports about illegalities in polling stations.

YEREVAN, December 6. /ARKA/. The Central Electoral Commission will be verifying information about election irregularities, Nune Hovhannisyan, a member of the commission, told Novosti-Armenia commenting on the Armenian National Congress' Facebook reports about illegalities in polling stations.
According to the reports, at 9/27 (Noraghukh) polling station, lists are being signed by a member of the electoral commission as preparation for ballot box stuffing.
It has also become known from the reports that attempts to take ballots out of polling stations were foiled at two polling stations.
In three polling stations representatives of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia introduced themselves as Heritage party proxies and was hindering the real representatives of the party to fulfill their mission.
Nune Hovhannisyan said that the commission will verify all alarming reports but those posted in social networks.
Polling stations opened in Armenia for the constitutional referendum today at 08:00. As many as 1,997 polling stations are open all over the country. The voting will be over at 20:00.
The voter list consists of 2,550,323 people. The amendments to the Constitution will be considered adopted if more than a half of the number of the people who have voted, but no less than one quarter of the number of the people in the list cast their votes in favor of it.
More than 100 international and several thousand local observers are involved in the process. --0---
