YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. Cooperation between the European Union and Armenia is strengthening across all areas - from security and resilience to democratic reforms, says Kaja Kallas, Vice-President of the European Commission, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

“I am pleased to meet with Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan. I reaffirmed my commitment to promoting long-term peace in the region," Kallas wrote in a post on the social media platform X following her meeting with Mirzoyan at the OSCE Ministerial Forum in Malta.

Armenia-EU Cooperation

The Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the ratification process of which took about three years, entered into force on March 1, 2021.

In September 2024, the EU-Armenia Visa Liberalization Dialogue was officially launched, and work is underway on a new comprehensive document titled the “New Partnership Agenda”.
