EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration to visit Armenia in March next year

YEREVAN, December 15. /ARKA/. EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner will visit Armenia in March 2026. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, RA Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan discussed the details of the visit with Brunner at a meeting in Brussels.

Sargsyan noted that the first EU assessment mission on the implementation of the EU-Armenia Visa Liberalization Action Plan (VLAP) is in Armenia. During the visit, issues related to legal framework and policy within the benchmarks are being discussed.

The Armenian minister presented steps to implement a biometric passport and ID card system, universal health insurance, and other areas in Armenia. She added that Armenia will soon submit a candidate for a communications officer to Europol.
