YEREVAN, October 22. /ARKA/. Magdalena Grono, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, expressed her encouragement over Azerbaijan's lifting of transit restrictions for goods to Armenia through its territory.
"I am very encouraged by the recent series of positive steps in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, including Azerbaijan's announcement to lift transit restrictions for goods to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory," Grono wrote on her Facebook page.
The President of Azerbaijan announced the lifting of all transit restrictions to Armenia through Azerbaijan yesterday at a meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Yerevan welcomed the announcement.
