European Peace Facility may allocate €20 million to Armenia – Mirzoyan reports ongoing talks

YEREVAN, April 16. /ARKA/. Discussions are underway about providing Armenia with 20 million euros from the European Peace Facility, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.

At a joint press conference with Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon, he expressed hope that a positive decision would be made.

"I can say on behalf of my country that we have supported and strongly backed this proposal," Fajon stated.

She also noted that Slovenia supports the peace process and the Armenian government's “Crossroads of Peace” initiative.

"This is a very good opportunity to establish peace and stability in the region, and it is in everyone's interest. The entire EU supports the 'Crossroads of Peace' project. A peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan could open up new opportunities for a peaceful agenda," Fajon said.

Mirzoyan recalled that Armenia was allocated 10 million euros from the European Peace Facility last year.
