YEREVAN, April 10. /ARKA/.  Ex-mayor of Yerevan, current vice-president of Russian Gasprombank Karen Karapetyan has no wish to become Armenia’s prime-minister, “Hraparak” (Square) newspaper says.

Karapetyan arrived in Yerevan to attend Armenian president Sargsyan’s inauguration ceremony.

When asked by Hraparak reporter whether it’s possible to refuse to take up a premier’s post, Karapetyan said “imagine it’s possible”.

Under the Armenian constitution article 55, president Serzh Sargsyan accepted the resignation of the government. The president is to appoint a new premier based on distribution of parliament seats and consultations with parliament factions, within 10 days after accepting the resignation. The new cabinet is formed within 20 days after the appointment of the premier. -0-
