The recent four-day war in Karabakh came as a very important impetus to Armenia for revising its strategy and strengthening its security, what first of all is due to development of its economy, Vardan Bostanjyan, an economist, told journalists on Tuesday.

YEREVAN, May 10. /ARKA/. The recent four-day war in Karabakh came as a very important impetus to Armenia for revising its strategy and strengthening its security, what first of all is due to development of its economy, Vardan Bostanjyan, an economist, told journalists on Tuesday. 

«In those days our economy got in a complicated situation, but this showed us the importance of a task-oriented economic development, first of all the necessity to strengthen our security,» he said. «In this context, we should make every effort to develop an import substitution plan for our military industry, which will help us to solve security problems.»

In his words, Armenia is rich in specialists, and it was well-known for its specialists yet in Soviet epoch.  

On April 2, 2016 Azerbaijan launched military assaults along the entire perimeter of its contact line with Nagorno Karabakh. -0----
