Armenian Vice Premier Mher Grigoryan met yesterday with French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte and French Development Agency (AFD) Regional Director Gaelle Assayag, the press office of the Armenian government reports.

French president intends to travel to Armenia for state visit
YEREVAN, February 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Vice Premier Mher Grigoryan met yesterday with French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte and French Development Agency (AFD) Regional Director Gaelle Assayag, the press office of the Armenian government reports. 

At the meeting, Grigoryan presented key provisions of the government’s five-year activity program and pointed out room for development of relations between the two countries under the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Jonathan Lacôte said that France is ready to develop cooperation with Armenia.  
Stressing that President Emmanuel Macron has recently voiced his intention to travel to Armenia for a state visit, the ambassador said that this visit will contribute to further expansion of the bilateral programs. 

Gaelle Assayag, on her side, presented the process of implementation of reforms in Armenia and also expressed the organization’s willingness to work out new programs in the future which will be in tune with the reforms being implemented by the Armenian authorities. 

The necessity of the capital market formation in Armenia was pointed out and prospects for development of French businesses in the country were discussed at the meeting as well as involvement in the GSP+ preferences system and membership in the World Trade Organization. -0---
