French president to visit Armenia in May

Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian and his French opposite number Laurent Fabius discussed in Paris March 13 the preparations for the French president Francois Ollande’s visit to Armenia, scheduled for May, Armenian foreign ministry said.

YEREVAN, March 14. / ARKA /. Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian and his French opposite number Laurent Fabius discussed in Paris March 13 the preparations for the French president Francois Ollande’s visit to Armenia, scheduled for May, Armenian foreign ministry said.
The two men were said to have discussed also opportunities for boosting bilateral economic cooperation. I this context, Nalbandian said Armenia has about 160 companies with French capital. He added that his government welcomes French investments and new initiatives in this direction.
They also looked into prospects for development of Armenia-EU relations and spoke also about the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing counties –France, Russia and USA- to help forge out a peace formula for the Karabakh conflict.
The two sides also discussed the current regional and international issues, in particular, the Ukrainian crisis and ways to resolve it and also touched upon the process of negotiations on Iran's nuclear program . -0 -
