From 2023 to 2025, Armenian government invested approximately 171 billion drams in the military-industrial complex, says Pashinyan.
YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. From 2023 to 2025, the Armenian government invested approximately 171 billion drams in the military-industrial complex, said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"This is approximately $450 million," he said live on his social media.
The prime minister noted that the public often asks how Armenia intends to manage threats to its security, especially given that statements about peace are interspersed with statements that do not align with the established peace.
"My answer remains the same: legitimacy lies in pursuing policies based on Armenia's internationally recognized sovereign territory of 29,743 square kilometers," he emphasized.
According to Pashinyan, this legitimacy will allow for unrestricted military-technical cooperation with any partner in the world, specifically in the acquisition of weapons and armaments, if necessary.
"This is what is happening in practice today. Thanks to the 'Real Armenia' ideology, countries are taking turns lifting restrictions on cooperation with us on weapons and military equipment. This is all necessary not for war, but for peace," he explained.
Pashinyan also emphasized that legitimacy is the key factor that must ensure our security, territorial integrity, and sovereignty in the long term.-0-
