Shushan Sardaryan, the press secretary of Gazprom Armenia, Armenia’s national gas distribution company, was appointed as advisor to prime minister Karen Karapetyan today.
YEREVAN, September 24. /ARKA. Shushan Sardaryan, the press secretary of Gazprom Armenia, Armenia’s national gas distribution company, was appointed as advisor to prime minister Karen Karapetyan today.
According to a statement, posted on the official website of the government, Ms. Sardaryan will work on a voluntary basis, and, according to sources in the government, she will be dealing with relations with the media. She has many years of experience of working with the new prime minister, when he was head of ArmRosgazprom (the predecessor of Gazprom Armenia) from 2001 to 2010.
Karen Karapetyan, who served as mayor of Yerevan in 2010-2011, was appointed head of the Armenian government on September 13, 2016, replacing Hovik Abrahamyan. In December 2011, Karapetyan was appointed first vice-president of Russian Gazprombank, since November 2012 he served as deputy general director of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz company.
