Georgian PM supports development of defence cooperation with Armenia

YEREVAN, 2 September. /ARKA/. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at a meeting with visiting Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan welcomed the development of Armenian-Georgian cooperation in the defence area, expressing full support to this process, the press service of the Armenian Defence Ministry reported.
Papikyan, in turn, stressed the importance of the development of cooperation between the two countries in the defence area and conveyed to Kobakhidze the greetings from Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan.
During the conversation, the importance of long-term and stable peace in the region was emphasised.
The sides also highlighted the strategic relations between Armenia and Georgia and underlined the effectiveness of periodic contacts between the high-level delegations. Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan attended the meeting. -0-
