The Armenian government at a meeting on Friday decided to ask the speaker of the National Assembly to convene an extraordinary session of parliament on June 19.
YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/ The Armenian government at a meeting on Friday decided to ask the speaker of the National Assembly to convene an extraordinary session of parliament on June 19.
A relating draft decision was presented by the First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who said the government wants the legislature to approve a string of changes to the laws on alternative military service, on charity, on general education, as well as a number of other bills.
Mirzoyan also said that on Monday, June 11, an extraordinary meeting of the government is likely to be convened to draft a set of other bills to put them on the agenda of the extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly. -0-
