YEREVAN, January 19. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today a decision that nearly doubles the salaries of prosecutor.

Under a set of amendments to the law "On Public Service and Salaries of Persons Occupying Public Posts" prosecutors will have their salaries risen by 92%.

According to the government, the decision was prompted by the lack of other mechanisms to change the size of the salaries of prosecutors. It justified the rise by the 'risky nature' of the work of prosecutors. --0--
