YEREVAN, November 1. /ARKA/. The Armenian government is considering the possibility of cutting the number of deputy governors, the chief of government staff David Harutyunyan told a parliamentary hearing today on next year’s draft budget, convened by several committees.
According to him, prime minister Karapetyan has asked to present all the questions concerning the necessary number of deputy governors and the distribution of their work, as well as suggestions for cutting their number. He said the final decision will be made after looking into these issues.
"This is the right approach. The governors themselves will be given the opportunity to cut the number of their deputies, otherwise decisions will be made by the prime minister", - said Harutyunyan.
He added that this issue will be resolved in 1-2 months. -0-
