Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan awarded Governor of Massachusetts Deval Patrick with “Mkhitar Gosh” Armenian medal on behalf of President Serzh Sargsyan, the government reports.
YEREVAN, December 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan awarded Governor of Massachusetts Deval Patrick with “Mkhitar Gosh” Armenian medal on behalf of President Serzh Sargsyan, the government reports.
Governor Deval Patrick received Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan to the Massachusetts State House on December 12.
“Mkhitar Gosh” medal is awarded for notable state, public and political activities, as well as significant services in the areas of diplomacy, law and political science.
PM Sargsyan expressed his gratitude to Patrick for opening the Monument dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide 1915.
On his turn, Patrick expressed his sincere words of gratitude to the President of Armenia for such award.
The sides also discussed the issues related to bilateral cooperation. Patrick has highly commended the role of the Armenian community of Massachusetts. Following the meeting, Tigran Sargsyan visited he Armenian Heritage Park in Boston and laid a wreath at the monument to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. -0-
