YEREVAN, June 6. /ARКА/. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and governors of a number of Russian regions discussed prospects for developing relations in the trade, economic and tourism spheres at a meeting held in Yerevan on Friday.

Five Russian governors - Alexander Tsibulsky (head of the Arkhangelsk region), Igor Kobzev (Irkutsk), Yuri Slyusar (Rostov), ​​as well as Veniamin Kondratyev (head of the Krasnodar region) and Vladimir Vladimirov (Stavropol region) arrived in Armenia to participate in the 10th anniversary Armenian-Russian interregional forum.

As reported by the press service of the RA government, Grigoryan noted the importance of developing decentralized cooperation and expressed hope that the agreements reached between the regions of Armenia and the subjects of Russia within the framework of the interregional forum will receive specific content and become the basis for the implementation of joint projects.

About the forum

The 10th Russian-Armenian interregional forum is being held on June 6 in the SCC, organized by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Representatives of the regions, authorities, businesses and public organizations of Russia and Armenia are participating.

The program includes thematic round tables devoted to the issues of creating a favorable investment climate for the regions of Russia and Armenia, prospects for the development of Russian-Armenian cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and opportunities for interaction within the framework of the implementation of bilateral projects.

Also on the sidelines of the forum there will be a business session in the B2B format, a dialogue on interaction in the development of electronic commerce, a meeting of the Russian-Armenian Business Council, as well as a dialogue between sister cities of Russia and Armenia.
