Head of Armenia's Foreign Intelligence Service considers security threats to country to be very low
YEREVAN, September 15. /ARKA/. Kristina Grigoryan, head of Armenia's Foreign Intelligence Service, assesses the security and military threats facing Armenia as very low.
"In comparison to several months ago, we can assert that these security threats are indeed very low; however, there are threats to our democracy that must not be underestimated, as democracy is the pace and mode of our progress," Kristina Grigoryan stated during an interview with journalists.
In discussing the decrease in security threats, she highlighted that this was made possible by the signing of the Washington Declaration on August 8 and the initiation of the border demarcation and delimitation process.
Grigoryan emphasized the importance of identifying and addressing security risks, which are predominantly of a hybrid nature.
As she pointed out, threats to democracy do not originate from a single state or actor; typically, they arise from multiple sources, independently.
"However, I can assert with confidence that there is no single specific state from which threats to democracy emanate from one actor, and Armenia is no exception," Grigoryan remarked.-0-
