Armenian Interior Minister: action plan on visa liberalization with EU will be ready in spring
“

YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. The development of visa liberalization action plan with the European Union in Armenia is at an active stage, Armenian Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan said.
“The visa liberalization process cannot be an end in itself, it is also an opportunity for the state to introduce a number of standards. Recently, the first EU mission was in Armenia, with which a number of technical issues were discussed. We are waiting for the arrival of the second mission. According to our preliminary plans, the action plan, which should be consistently implemented, will be ready in spring,” Sargsyan said at the 4th meeting of Armenia-EU Parliamentary Partnership in Yerevan on Tuesday.
She noted that the first steps have been taken considering the importance of the functioning of the biometric system in Armenia with its various multiplicative effects.
Sargsyan expressed confidence that as a result of consistent processes it will be possible to provide these services to the citizens of Armenia in the second half of 2026.
