YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. Gagik Minasyan, head of the Armenian National Assembly’s finance and budget committee, speaking today at a news conference, said the new government’s program is relevant to current threats and challenges.
In recent days, the National Assembly gave its approval to the program.
“The government’s program is based on three key principles,” he said pointing out the declaration of the necessity of substantial reforms for the sake of the country’s citizens as one of these three principles.
The second principle is the necessity revision of the effectiveness of the current programs and effectiveness of money spending, and the third principle is to ensure economic growth and to create new programs and jobs.
Minasyan also pointed out the mention of the necessity to ease private entrepreneurs’ burden as one of the program’s merits.
He paid special attention to the declaration of the necessity to use the country’s untapped capacity and added that it would be wrong to expect particular figures from a program designed for a period ahead of the parliamentary elections in April 2017.
He is convinced that the program will be clearer after the elections. --0---
