YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. An intensive brain storm is going on in the international arena over Karabakh, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson of the Russian foreign ministry, is quoted by Novosti-Armenia as saying Friday at a briefing.

“I can assure you that an intensive brain storm is going on in the international arena, and there is no stagnation now,” she said.

Commenting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s words about preparations for a meeting of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on Karabakh settlement, Zakharova said that the sides are in contact now to understand what a meeting its would be and what particular results it can produce.

“It is still early to speak about particular dates, but such a meeting is being prepared,” she said adding that it might be in the next few weeks.

Speaking on yesterday’s approval by the Armenian government the bill calling for recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Zakharova noted that it is very important to treat accurately what is said in the capitals and not to distort what has been said.

She said that interpretations of all words should be accurate and delicate, especially taking into account the complicity of the situation and the recent escalation of tension.

In her opinion, some of the theories released by media resources are obviously provocative in nature and this is very dangerous.

“We are in contact with each of the sides, we are listening to them, carrying out our mediator mission and speak clearly about our judgments of things,” Zakharova said. -0-----
