Italy is quite positive about liberalization of visa regime between the European Union and Armenia, the visiting foreign minister of Italy Paolo Gentiloni said at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan today.

YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. Italy is quite positive about liberalization of visa regime between the European Union and Armenia, the visiting foreign minister of Italy Paolo Gentiloni said at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan today.
"I know that the government of Armenia and the European Union agreed to hold periodic meetings on this subject. EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini is also working in this direction. I can not say what the EU approaches are, but Italy's position on liberalization of visa regime with Armenia is positive "- Paolo Gentiloni said.
Armenia and the European Union have been negotiating a comprehensive agreement, the seventh round of which is scheduled to take place in December 2016.
Paolo Gentiloni also said that Italy believes that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved peacefully.
"Italy insists on the peaceful and diplomatic resolution of the Karabakh conflict; we do not want military actions in the region to resume and we hope that the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, USA and France) will give positive impulses in the coming weeks," – he said.
He added that during its chairmanship in the OSCE in 2018 Italy will focus on other conflicts as well – the Ukrainian, South Ossetian, Abkhazian and Transdniestrian .-- 0-
