A 19 year-old servicemen of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) army was killed Monday by Azerbaijani troops on the line of contact between NKR forces and Azerbaijani troops, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic defense army said.

STEPANAKERT, December 8. / ARKA /. A 19 year-old servicemen of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) army was killed Monday by Azerbaijani troops on the line of contact between NKR forces and Azerbaijani troops, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic defense army said.

It said the servicemen, Garik Ispiryan, born in 1995, received a fatal gunshot wound at a defense position of a military unit deployed in the eastern section of the line of contact. It said also an investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

"The ministry of defense shares the grief of this heavy loss and expresses its support for Garik Ispiryan’s family members, relatives and friends," said the defense army in a statement. -0-
