Karen Karapetian to retain prime-ministerial seat if Armenian republicans win parliamentary elections

Karen Karapetian, Armenian prime minister, will remain in office if the ruling Republican Part of Armenia wins parliamentary elections in April 2017, Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian president who is also the head of the party, said Saturday at the 16th convention of the party.

Karen Karapetian, Armenian prime minister, will remain in office if the ruling Republican Part of Armenia wins parliamentary elections in April 2017, Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian president who is also the head of the party, said Saturday at the 16th convention of the party.
“I would also like to add that in case we receive the vote of trust in the coming elections, our government will again be headed by Prime Minister Karen Karapetian who will continue to implement the already preset programs,” he said.
Sargsyan also welcomed Karapetian and some ministers’ decision to join the ruling party. In his words, the next three years will be very important for the country.
He proposed to modernize the party’s program preserving the national policy’s priorities. --0---
