Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Lusine Kocharyan as Secretary General of the Ministry of Health.

YEREVAN, April 20. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Lusine Kocharyan as Secretary General of the Ministry of Health.
Lusine Kocharyan was born in 1977 in Yerevan. In 2000she graduated from the Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU). In 2000-2001 she had internship at the National Center for Disease Control. In 2013 Kocharyan was awarded master's degree in public health by the American University of Armenia.
She began her career in 2001 as an epidemiologist at the State Hygienic and Anti-Epidemic Inspection; in 2009 she was promoted to the position of chief expert.
From 2013 to 2018 she held various positions in the Ministry of Health and the Armenian Red Cross Society. In 2018-2019, she served as director of the National Center for Tuberculosis Control.
Since July 2019, she acted as head of the department of medical care policy of the Ministry of Health. Kocharyan also teaches at YSMU and is conducting research at the American University of Armenia. --0--
