Martuni in Artsakh and Glendale in California become sister cities

YEREVAN, September 29. /ARKA/. The town of Martuni in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and the American Glendale (California) have become sister cities.
A corresponding memorandum was signed between the Glendale City Council and the Artsakh Foreign Ministry, ARF Dashnaktsutyun press service reported.
Glendale Mayor Artashes Kasakhian noted that by signing this document, the local Armenian community expresses its commitment to protecting the right of Artsakh Armenians to self-determination
"We declare, Azerbaijan must bear responsibility for its continued aggression against the Armenian people. We call on the United States to take immediate steps to condemn Azerbaijan's aggression, place restrictions on military aid to Baku, and provide urgent humanitarian aid to the endangered people of Artsakh," Kasakhian stressed.
The event announced the creation of the "Glendale-Martuni Twin Cities Association" to promote cultural, educational and humanitarian programs. --0--
