Mikael Manukyan replaces Vahan Hovhanisyan as parliament member

An Armenian parliament seat vacated by Vahan Hovhanisyan from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutyun party, who was appointed as Armenia’s ambassador to Germany, will be given to a party fellow Mikael Manukyan, the central Election Commission (CEC) said.

YEREVAN, January 14 . / ARKA /. An Armenian parliament seat vacated by Vahan Hovhanisyan from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutyun party, who was appointed as Armenia’s ambassador to Germany, will be given to a party fellow Mikael Manukyan, the central Election Commission (CEC) said.
Mikael Manukyan was born April 10, 1967 in Yerevan. In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of Design of the Yerevan Art College. In 1992 - 2002 he worked for ARF official organ Yerkir newspaper.
He was in the previous parliament from 2007 to 2012. Manukyan was awarded several medals for his active participation in the Karabakh war. He is married and has three children. -0-
