Minister brushes off allegations of his 'strained' relations with governors
YEREVAN, January 14. /ARKA/. Armenia's territorial administration and emergency situations minister Armen Yeritsyan brushed off today media speculation claiming he is having problems with provincial governors describing it as 'absurd rumors.'

Latest stories in some Armenia mass media reported about 'growing tension' between the minister and the governors, claiming it has reached the extent when the governors refuse to carry out his orders. The stories also claimed that Yeritsyan has become a persona non grata in government circles.

"Let's consider these stories as absurd statements. I have normal relationship with all the governors and all my orders are carried out. For people who know me well, it's hard to imagine someone not carrying out my orders," said Yeritsyan on Thursday.

"We must optimize our activities as much as possible. This will enable us to increase the salaries of other employees,' said the minister. -0-
